I am a huge fan of Diane Von Furstenberg. I think she has an innate sense of fashion. a classy attitude, a nose for business – and friends in influential places. This woman has rebuilt a fashion empire – twice. She married into royalty and has traveled the world. She hangs out with social elite. And it all started with that little wrap dress – her signature piece.
A friend of mine loaned me the Diane – A Signature Life book and for a biographical piece, I couldn’t put it down. (normally a total snore book category for me!) I would totally recommend it as a holiday gift – for yourself or a fashionista friend (who can then loan it to you to read afterwards).
Here’s a teaser to pique your interest: “Diane is the frank and compelling story of an extraordinary woman and her adventures in fashion, business, and life. “Most fairy tales end with the girl marrying the prince. That’s where mine began,” says Diane Von Furstenberg. She didn’t have to work, but she did. She lived the American Dream before she was thirty, building a multimillion-dollar fashion empire while raising two children and living life in the fast lane.”
